Isn’t It Ironic … Don’t You Think?

The Oxford English Dictionary
Irony, n. – A condition of affairs or events of a character opposite to what was, or might naturally be, expected; a contradictory outcome of events as if in mockery of the promise and fitness of things.

The Clueless Dictionary
Irony, n. – When you are sitting in an almost empty library, studying for an exam when everyone you know is already done, and contrary to what has been happening the last week or so, you neither fall asleep nor do you spend every half an hour checking your watch to see if it’s time to leave yet; when time actually passes by without you knowing it, and not once during the specified time does it ever cross your mind that you could be doing so many more interesting (and less tedious) things with it; when you realize that this sudden feeling of contentment and happiness is for a module you took because you didn’t have any other choice and you had to take something to fulfil your minor requirements and when you realize you never feel this way about the subject you’re going to earn your freakin’ degree in.

Really funny sit that you’ve got going down there!! It normally happens in the last year, though. Its pretty much like a countdown eh? ” Three hours left for the engg ethics exam; um thats kinda ok. Right, lets play some cards…” and there i am rubbing my hands in anticipation ( of losing the game, duh) as my friends distribute the cards. Then, like when there’s half an hour left,we are all there searching for our texts and notes. Its all in the game.

Oh dudette! I wish I could feel the same way about our dear LS modules! I’m really really glad you found something you’re passionate about and enjoy 😀 Don’t worry, I’ll be back next sem to accompany you to those BMS module lectures and labs and what not 😉

Haha! It sure was a real pleasure to sit there and not have to pass you mints every few minutes to keep you awake!!! 😉 😉 😉 And since you enjoyed yourself, i didn’t feel that guilty about reading garfield comics in front of you and snorting every now and then :PConsider your experience with your core subjects as something interesting. Maybe not useful for the future… but just something extra to know. Like, trivia blown out of proportion!!!!! 😀 😀 :DOnce you are out of here, you can do whatever you want. And hey, if u find something that you really love, you can go ahead and get a masters in it 🙂 🙂 :)And aside: The format of this post reminds me of the speeches some students used to give in the morning assembly. E.g: “determination! the oxford dictionary says determination is blah blah blah… well… i say its bleh bleh blah!!! Thank you!!!” 😛
